You're My Treasure

I wasn't really gonna write about this, but when I mentioned it to AJ and he didn't remember a thing about it I couldn't help myself.

Last night we were in bed and AJ had been asleep for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half. I was still awake and a little restless. Our memory foam mattress sometimes sinks so much it feels like a hole and I was laying in just such a hole. I readjusted, rolled over and groaned a little with the effort or climbing out of my foam hole. AJ rolled right over, snuggled up to my back and whispered "You're my treasure," in my ear. This goofy little grin spread across my face and I cuddled up to him. I was taken off guard and didn't really know what to say. When I finally gained a few of my senses (it was late, they weren't all there) I asked him what he'd been dreaming about. He didn't know what I was talking about and told me I had just said 'treasure'. Apparently, I must have said it in his dream or something.

It was cute though. And when I asked him about it tonight he didn't remember any of it. Regardless of whatever brought it on, I know it's true and he's my treasure too.

The funniest part of that story is that I know the rest of the story...partly. Our dad ALWAYS calls us his treasures (especially when we're babies)! It's kind of a family joke to say "what a treasure" just like Daddy Bert. LOL! Too funny, A.J.!!
